Montreal chapter-Board elections

Dear friends,

It is our great pleasure to announce the renewal of the executive committee of the CBS-MC, the Montréal Chapter of the Canadian Biomaterials Society.

Since its creation, 9 people – 8 graduate students and our mentor, Prof. Sophie Lerouge – have devoted their time and energy to build this chapter, have it recognized by the CBS and to organize social, networking and scientific events, which took place in three different higher education institutions in Montréal!

And you are hereby invited to submit your application, take over the new mandate and seize the chance to broaden your academic learning with a unique associative experience that is directly connected with your career path!

VACANCIES/POSITIONS

– President – Official representation of the Chapter and executive team management
– Vice-President, Internal – Administrative operations management and President’s substitute
– Vice-President, External – Communications Director (industry, academia), events and network
– Treasurer – Financial operations and budget management
– Secretary – Members and meeting management
– Conference Representative – Promotion and communication for Biomaterials Conferences
– Information Technology Officer – Promotion and maintenance of the communication through media interface

ELECTIONS

1. Submission of applications – by Novermber 7th
To apply for an executive position, send us an email with a short presentation (80 words max.) describing your experience and motivation – in the language of your choice.
You can specify which position(s) you are applying as well as provide a picture, but it is not compulsory. Deadline: Novermber 7th.

2. Online presentation of the candidates – on October 31st
All applications will be presented online on the Chapter website from Novermber 7th to the elections.

3. General assembly – mid-November
A general assembly will be held in mid-November so as to proceed with the elections.
Unsolicited applications on the day of the elections will also be accepted.
